A few of the most common you might refer to your career in French: Le métier (occupation) Le boulot (work – casual) Le travail (work) L’emploi (employment) Le poste (post, position) La carrière (career) La vocation (vocation) L’opportunité d'emploi (job opportunity) Le stage en enterprise (internship) Le taf (work – slang) 2. Use of definite and indefinite articles when describing jobs [Subject] + [conjugated form of être] + [profession]  Ex.   Il était médecin. (He was a doctor.) Il va être médecin. (He’s going to be a doctor).  3. If in doubt, use c’est / ce sont if you’re using an article or determinant of some sort: Ex.  C’est mon médecin. (She’s my doctor.) C’est un bon médecin. (She’s a good doctor.) Otherwise, use il/elle est + [profession].  4. If you want to talk about working as an action, on the other hand, French offers up a nice selection: Bosser (to work – casual)...

Here are 5 Free Online French Resources I use: 1. TV5Monde App + Channel 📲 You can subscribe to the channel but you have to pay for it. The good news is they have an app and website where you have videos and exercises based on them. You can select which level you want to start from. They cover a variety of topics like profession, salutations and grammar. (this is in A1) Website    2.a. French made Easy Podcast (Mathilde Kien)🎧 If you want a quick Podcast. Matilde Kien is a French mompreneur, who makes podcasts and worksheets for ever podcast. And it is all free. Website Podcast (Also available on Spotify) b. CoffeeBreak French🎧 Now this is podcast is for people who want to strenghten their speaking skills and is a good way to build your vocabulary. A Beginners Guide to French TV Series 📺🇫🇷

Coucou !!  French can be a tricky language for a few and an easy one for others. While learning any language, we need to immerse ourselves into their culture, books, movies and shows to get a better view of the language. Living in a country like India where English has almost taken over the colloquial languages, it is extremely hard to find a person whom you can converse with on a daily basis. This might sound a little crazy but I've even started to talk to myself in French. 😁 There are a good amount of French Shows on Netflix. Prime (India) doesn't have French TV shows as such, but I realised they have French audio for a few English TV shows. I would recommend you to start with English shows/ movies with French audio, mainly because you know the story and you can focus more on the audio and pronunciations.  So check out the trailer and at least watch 1 episode to decide if you want to continue. Here are a few reasons that will help you keep going:  1. Channel something that Motivates you. 😥💪🏼 Learning a new language is hard and can be demotivating at times. But that is all a part of the learning process.  Understand why took up French. It could be because you are moving to a Francophone country or you work for a French Company or you're studying French at school.
